Siobhan Magnus has changed and she's the first to admit it. "I'm calmer now and I've really grown. There's no doubt I feel different and it's good," Magnus says via phone.
The 22-year-old Barnstable native, who shot into the pop world's consciousness and became a Cape Cod sensation thanks to her electric performances on season nine of TV's "American Idol," recognizes she has to keep evolving in order to become a great artist. "A tarantula sheds its skin and emerges differently, yet also still the same, and that's how I feel. Now I'm so much more confident and relaxed."
This transformation was evident on her debut record, "Moonbaby" (Snotface Records), released last winter as she modulated her vocal approach and found the heart of the songs with more nuance and style.
